
1 WEEK 1 PROJECT was recently invited to organise a workshop at Art’Com Sup school of design in Casablanca. During one week, students tryed to resolve local and current issues throught architecture and design. 5 projects emerge out of this process.

This project is a proposal for COP 22 wich will take place in Morocco in 2016. CASASKIN proposes to place a dome over the Casablanca factory to house a forest, to create a microclimate and absorb CO2.

VILLE TRANSPARENTE by Lamia BOURKKADI, Bouchra OMARI and Ghita SYAD
Now with over 3.4 million of inhabitants , Casablanca is not only the economic capital of Morocco , it is also the most populated city of Maghreb region. This growth raises questions of sprawl and urbanization. LA VILLE TRANSPARENTE is an extension of Casablanca on the ocean like a mirror. To maintain a sea view , this extension is transparent and consists of different levels of transparency as different districts.

How not to forget that in 1975 a peaceful march was organized by Hassan II king of Morocco to get back the Western Sahara ? LE MEMORIAL DE LA MARCHE VERTE offers to relive the march following landmarks representing the shadow of the walkers lf 1975.




LOST SOUK by Hidya SABBAR, Youssef AL BOROUHI and Houda EL AYAZI
Over 40,000 artisans operates in Marrakech souk. How to navigate in this labyrinth ? LOST SOUK identified districts by colors and propose an Ariane’s line network on the ceiling allowing visitors to find the exit or their location.
